Last night the Governor of California issued a stay at home order for all Californians. While we know that the current situation may cause some anxiety, please know that, we will continue to support our students, their families, and our community by continuing to provide alternative learning opportunities, guidance to families on local resources, programs to help our first responders, healthcare and essential services workers find childcare so that they can continue to serve our community, seamless food deliveries to youth from 0-18 years old, and other services that will be necessary in the upcoming days and weeks. Our goal is to keep our community safe and healthy. Thank you, in advance, for your help and patience, as we work through this unprecedented time.

Mary Peacock Elementary School is committed to providing all students with access to an excellent education. We recognize each child’s unique contribution to our school family and work to create a positive learning atmosphere in which she/he can thrive.
The old saying, “It takes a village to raise a child” is certainly true here. We welcome your involvement at Mary Peacock School. You are welcome to join in a wide variety of family involvement opportunities: WatchDOG Dad volunteers, classroom volunteers, field trip volunteers, Parent-Teacher-Student Organization, Movie and craft nights, Back to School and STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and math) evening events, Book Fair events, School Site Council and ELAC (English learners advisory committee) meetings, and more! If you’d like to volunteer, please fill out a school volunteer form in the office.
We are excited to offer free breakfast and lunch for all students daily. This year we will begin serving breakfast in the classroom on Sept. 9. Students will be able to eat with the class family in a more relaxed setting starting at 7:50 each morning. Early-birds are welcome to hang out in the school gym if they arrive between 7:35 and classrooms opening at 7:50.
Our school hosts an after school care classroom operated by the Del Norte Child Care Council. For more information, please call (707) 464-8311.
The Mary Peacock staff is excited to start this year with you! Please contact us with any questions at (707) 464-0301.
