Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP) Surveys

    2022-2023

California requires the development of an LCAP each school year using input from students, parents, teachers, community members, and staff to determine goals, actions, and budget priorities.

The main priority of the LCAP is to help close the achievement gap.

Please take a few minutes to complete the LCAP Survey by clicking on the appropriate link below.

Mr. Jeff Slayton

Dear Castle Rock families,

With the second term well under way, we want to thank everyone for your continued support of our students, teachers, and school as we collectively strive to provide optimal opportunities for learning each and every day.

Administration and faculty value the important contributions families make towards a student’s success in school;  there is no question that success in school starts at home. Families are the most significant influence in a child’s education.  Families model both verbal and non-verbal language in front of their children. One of the great hallmarks of a great school is the partnership between the school and families who work together for the best interest of all Castle Rock students.

We’ve identified mathematics assessment, intervention and instruction as three areas that provide opportunities to grow.  The California Assessment of Student performance and progress (CAASPP) website provides support in these areas. Our students will participate in training, practice, and eventually will take the interim assessment as a lead up to the end of year state testing that happens each May.

To help support this process, teachers are providing “office hours”  to help initiate assessment and help students navigate the curriculum they are struggling to understand.  To learn more about office hours, contact your support teacher for more information.

Have a great March/April and please don’t hesitate to call if you have any questions  or concerns 464-0390.

 “Tough players win.”

Eric Epperson

Sincerely,

Jeff Slayton, Principal
