Preschool Registration

Children are eligible for our developmentally appropriate program:

• If your child turns 3 before December 1, 2025: They are eligible to attend Preschool.
• If your child turns 4 by September 1, 2025: They have the option to attend Transitional Kindergarten (TK) or Preschool.

Early Head Start is a 0-3 Infant-Toddler program.  

Attend Your Appointment & Bring Required Documents                                                                   

During your appointment, you must provide:

• Completed Registration Form
• Birth Certificates for All Children in the Household
• Immunization Record (Must show at least 4 DTaP, 1 MMR, 3 Polio, 1 Varicella, 1 Hib, and 3 Hep B)
• Two Months of Household Income Verification (or a passport to services from social services)
• Proof of Residence (e.g., utility bill, rental agreement, etc.)
• Our staff will confirm eligibility, discuss which program works best for your child, and guide you through any additional steps.

Income Requirements

The Del Norte Preschool Programs operate using the California State Income Table found here: CSPP Income Ceiling

Early Head Start is a Federally Funded Program, and so follows the Federal Poverty Guidelines found here: EHS Poverty Guidelines

If your income is above any of these tables, you are encouraged to submit an application

Enrollment Admission Priorities

Our ECE program is state funded, and children are admitted according to our priorities list.

The DNUSD Preschool Program does not discriminate on the basis of sex, sexual orientation, gender, ethnic group identification, race, ancestry, national origin, religion, color, or mental or physical disability in determining which children are served.
