Del Norte Unified leaders are at the forefront of advancing and implementing initiatives to close the achievement gap by providing direction and resources for ongoing professional development, adoption of Common Core-aligned materials, and implementation of integrated mathematics.

The District is also providing strategic enrichment opportunities for all students, such as intersession support and summer school enrichment.

In Del Norte Unified, teachers continuously check for understanding and adjust and adapt to improve their teaching methods. The District also uses the CAASPP test results as one of several academic measures analyzed to determine areas of need and to guide program planning and development to support student learning.
