About Our Wellness Centers

Del Norte County Office of Education received MHSSA and SBHIP funding to establish 3 Wellness centers throughout Del Norte County school campuses and 1 Mobile Wellness Center to focus on the outlying, highly rural, and understaffed schools and students who are currently not accessing services. Del Norte County Superintendent of Schools and Del Norte County Department of Behavioral Health aspire to address behavioral needs assessed by parents, students, and staff, such as emotional regulation, anxiety, and depression, by expanding access for students to prevention, early intervention, and intervention services.  The goal of these resources and linkage is to prevent mental illness from becoming severe and disabling. The Wellness Centers will be at target locations throughout the county to address regional needs and increase access to a large space to accommodate meetings and trainings for schools, community groups, families, and youth.
