Tammi Huff - Program Technician
Tammi Huff is a dedicated individual with a strong academic background in Organizational Management and a deep-seated passion for American History. Her commitment to lifelong learning is evident in both her personal and professional endeavors. Currently a two-time graduate, Tammi is preparing to embark on a new educational journey to pursue a Master’s in Social Work.
Beyond her academic pursuits, Tammi finds joy in various hobbies. She is an avid reader, often immersing herself in books. Additionally, she enjoys spending time in the kitchen, experimenting with recipes and creating culinary delights. An outdoor enthusiast, Tammi loves fishing, particularly at the Smith and Klamath rivers. When not angling, she can be found tending to her yard, where she indulges in gardening and shares her space with her four beloved dogs.
Tammi's philosophy on life is encapsulated in her motto: "There is never a time the beach is a bad idea!" This reflects her appreciation for the simple pleasures and the beauty of nature.
Windy Davis - Wellness Coach
Meet Windy Davis! She's a Cal Poly Humboldt State graduate with a degree in Social Work and gearing up for the PPSC-SSW Advanced Standing program this Fall.
The Wellness Coach role is a new certificated position that offers non-clinical services that support youth behavioral health and well-being, such as wellness promotion and education, screening, care coordination, individual and group support, and crisis referral. Drawing from over a decade of diverse experience within the Social Work domain.
Windy's expertise is Substance Abuse Disorder counseling, Child Welfare (with specialization in Native American families), and Adult Protective Services.
When she's not changing lives, you can find her soaking up the beauty of Northern California - fishing, hiking, or just relaxing on the beach. She also enjoys music and spending time with her grandchildren.
Laurel Plunkett - Wellness Coach
I am a lifelong resident of Del Norte County with a deep commitment to the community. I enjoy staying active by playing basketball, gardening, being outside by taking my dogs on a walk, spending time at the beach and swimming in the beautiful Smith River with my family.
I have over 7 years of experience working with children and families and have dedicated my career to helping families in crisis in many different roles at the Department of Health and Human Services in Del Norte County. Roles I have held include being a crisis intake worker for the public assistance branch, child welfare social worker and social worker supervisor.
I hold a Bachelor's degree in Social Work from Cal Poly Humboldt State University and I am currently pursuing my Master's degree in Social Work at Cal Poly Humboldt.
My extensive experience and educational background have equipped me with the skills and knowledge necessary to make a positive impact in the community. I enjoy being creative and thinking outside the box while designing wellness activities. I am enthusiastic about continuing my journey in social work and contributing to the well-being of those I serve.
Amber O'Laughlin - Health Services Billing Technician
Amber is a dedicated Health Services Billing Technician with over 5 years of experience in administrative support and a background in providing direct services to students. Known for being a friendly and effective communicator, Amber excels in creating supportive environments for children, families and providers. Passionate about making a positive impact, Amber understands the critical importance of behind-the-scenes support in ensuring that everyone receives the care and services they need. Committed to excellence, Amber works diligently to facilitate seamless and efficient operations, helping to create a foundation for success and well-being.
When she's not hard at work, Amber enjoys quality time with her family, traveling, reading, and home improvements.
