Del Norte County Office of Education works together with locals partners to enrich our community. Parents, Busines Owners, Government Institutions, Emergency Services, and various other organizations and individuals regularly come together to strategize about what are the greatest needs of Del Norte County and how those needs should be met. The communications department is a vital communications link between the county office of education, the school district, and the community it serves. It initiates, coordinates, and sustains relationships with various constituencies, especially the general public, media, visitors and businesses. Our Public Information Officer (PIO) ensures a flow of information to and from the school district regarding its policies and procedures, increases public awareness of innovative programs, services, and opportunities as well as informs the public during an emergency.
