  • On 4-9-2020 the Del Norte Unified School District Board of Trustees decided that school facilities will continue to remain closed until the end of the academic school year. For the time being, students will attend school through distance learning while the spread of COVID-19 is on the rise. • Del Norte Community School will be distributing chromebooks to its students Friday, April 10, between 11:00am and 1:00pm.
Please stay in your car, wear a mask if you have one, and bring a pen.
A form will need to be signed by the student and parent or guardian.
Class attendance, work completion, and Zoom student assemblies will all be mandatory starting Monday, April 20th, and Chromebooks or a computer at home will be necessary.
Students please check your school email. If you need your email address or password, call 464-0750 between 9:00am and 1:00pm Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays.
Also, if you see your classmates let them know about this chromebook distribution.
Have a nice and safe day.

  • Beginning immediately, schools will be closed to the public. For up to date information regarding COVID 19, please check the school district website at dnusd.org. Del Norte Community School also has a Facebook page where you can find information. We are working on getting devices out to students who need them to do their school work. The distribution of these will be one day only. We will give you advance notice when this will happen. If you know of someone who is not getting these messages, please tell them to call the school at (707)464-0750 to update their contact information; they will need to leave a message on the school voicemail. Starting Monday, April 6, paper-based work will be available Mondays and Fridays only, from 9:00am-1:00pm, outside the front doors. Thank you for your patience as we continue to support our students during this unprecedented time. (4/6/2020)

  • Del Norte Community School has materials available for all DNCS students. These materials will continue to keep your student engaged in the learning process. Staff is creating and producing materials challenging your students to keep their skills sharp. Please have your students check their school Gmail and their teachers' Google Classrooms to find assignments online and teacher office hours. For students without internet access we have paper copies of materials and activities available at DNCS, 9:00 to 1:00 Mondays and Fridays, and by appointment. Please continually check your school email, webpage, and Facebook page for the latest information. (3/20/2020)

  • Last night the Governor of California issued a stay at home order for all Californians. While we know that the current situation may cause some anxiety, please know that, we will continue to support our students, their families, and our community by continuing to provide alternative learning opportunities, guidance to families on local resources, programs to help our first responders, healthcare and essential services workers find childcare so that they can continue to serve our community, seamless food deliveries to youth from 0-18 years old, and other services that will be necessary in the upcoming days and weeks. Our goal is to keep our community safe and healthy. Thank you, in advance, for your help and patience, as we work through this unprecedented time.
