Guidance for Public Access to the Meeting of the Del Norte County Unified School District Board Meeting of Trustees

California Governor Gavin Newsom issued Executive Order N-33-20 on March 19, 2020, for the preservation of public health and safety throughout the entire State of California and to heed the State public health directives from the Department of Public Health. Pursuant to the Executive Order, to protect public health, the State Public Health Officer and Director of the California Department of Public Health have ordered all individuals living in the State of California to stay home or at their place of residence except as needed to maintain continuity of operations of the federal critical infrastructure sectors, as outlined by the Cyber and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA).

Consistent with these orders and pursuant to Executive Order N-29-20, (which can be found at content/uploads/2020/03/3.17.20-N-29-20-EO.pdf, which offers further guidance and direction on the Brown Act during an order to maintain social distancing, no public or employees, other than those necessary to run the Board meeting, will be able to physically attend the Board meeting at the DNUSD District Office. Members of the public are highly encouraged to view Board Meetings via the Internet. Members of the public may visit to view live Internet broadcast of Board meetings and may comment during the appropriate times of the Board meetings by joining the Board meeting by webinar or by phone.
